St. Peter the Rock Home School Tutorial was formed to assist families in developing their high school-aged children morally, mentally, physically, and spiritually to be unambiguously Catholic in intellectual perspective, motivation, and outlook, as positive catalysts in the Christian evangelization and conversion of the world.
St. Peter the Rock is an educational tutorial founded and directed by homeschooling parents. Its genesis was the perceived need to assist homeschooling families in acquiring quality tutoring in subject areas that are difficult to teach at home, may require laboratory equipment, or which are best conducted in a formal educational environment. We provide flexibility to parents in scheduling what areas within each grade level a student participates in, require parental involvement, and only utilize instructors who share the school's mission and bedrock principles. Semester coursework can be used to supplement or replace a home-taught curriculum. Courses are taught one or two days a week, with sufficient homework and periodic exams administered to demonstrate student command of course material. Individual focus on completing a rigorous and disciplined course of study which is founded and imbued with social principles originating and emanating from the Magisterium of the Catholic Church provides the framework within which St. Peter the Rock operates.
